Our latest international trade mission sees Recordsure working alongside KPMG to help spread awareness within the Australian financial sector on the new innovations that regtech and fintech technologies can provide.

Australia has recently been through the Royal Commission review into the banking and financial services industry, which seeks to improve conduct, culture and transparency as well as retrospectively righting the position of customers who have been historically mistreated. There is a strong degree of overlap with the UK financial sector, which has undergone comparable scrutiny in recent years with similar outcomes on enhancing conduct risk and ensuring appropriate customer care.

As with the UK, Australian financial firms now face the challenges of changing internal processes to make them compliant, driving internal cultural change within organisations and finding innovative solutions to facilitate this efficiently on a scalable basis.

Speaking from Sydney, Joanne Smith, Recordsure Founder & CEO reflected on the positive response she has experienced so far on the tour:

“It has been really encouraging to see the enthusiasm in which firms are approaching these new challenges. Lessons have been learned from UK organisations who have been through a similar journey, and there is a real drive towards finding innovative regtech solutions which will help support customers by improving performance and culture.”

The trade mission is focused on Sydney and Melbourne and draws to a close on September 3rd. For enquiries on the tour, please contact info@recordsure.com, or follow us on Twitter or Linkedin for updates on all the action.
