This might be providing alternative banks with a complete current account (with Direct Debit, Faster Payments, debit card, etc), umbrella payroll companies with a remittance platform or companies with access to Faster Payments infrastructure.
The platform is fully owned by Contis and is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant, which means we don’t rely on multiple third-party providers (eg. BIN sponsors, card issuers, payment processors) for its delivery. We have an eMoney licence, agency banking agreement and are a principal member of Visa (we can also sponsor those looking to issue Visa products).

By ultimate, we not only mean the best at what we do – but we’re comprehensive too. We have a UK/EEA e-money licence, UK & SEPA Banking rails, area UK retail & business current account issuer (agency banking), a card issuer, a card processor, have end-user loyalty programmes, a digital user interface, and a UK consumer credit licence.
We provide fintechs, financial institutions, and corporates with a variety of banking, payment and card services. As a Visa principal partner, our services include card issuing, processing and program management based on an unrivalled set of UK and EEA licences.
The Contis platform is a highly configurable and feature-rich end-to-end banking and payment solution. Built with state-of-the-art technology, it boasts a 99.999% of successful transactions, January to December 2017).
Powered by Contis’ real-time technology and proven, reliable processing, our end to end offering is fully scalable and configurable, providing clients with true choice. Canvas, our flagship application, is the window through which we can tailor our platform to our clients’ needs. We’ve built hundreds of APIs (Application Programme Interfaces) to help address a wide array of banking and payments challenges. Introducing our latest product, Buffer!
It allows card payment transactions to be funded in real-time from a secondary source rather than the main cardholder account and sets our platform apart from competitors. This is a considerable leap forward for Contis’ clients as it allows our end customers to:
– Maintain zero balance transactional accounts.
– Avoid the stress and friction of having to ‘pre-load’ accounts with funds.
– Transact instantly with previously non-liquid assets.
– Have improved access to pre-approved credit lines.
So long as there are funds available from a secondary source, declined transactions will be a thing of the past. Sources can include secondary accounts such as savings or master accounts as well as (but are not limited to) cryptocurrency or other non-currency assets. Additionally, Buffer allows access to pre-approved credit lines from third-party providers at the point of transaction.
Contis has also formed a strategic partnership with ClearBank, the UK’s first new clearing bank in more than 250 years, providing an additional clearing channel to access UK payments.
